SYMPOSIA Community Bookstore Events – November 2022

510 Washington St, Hoboken NJ

www.symposia.us

“When I get a little money I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes”.

Desiderius Erasmus, philosopher, humanist, and theologian (28 Oct 1466-1536)

Open Mic Night – Tuesday, Nov. 8th 7:30 to 10pm

“In my opinion, the only way to conquer stage fright is to get up on stage and play. Every time you play another show, it gets better and better.” – Taylor Swift

Singers, songwriters, comedians, poets, and contortionists: Come one, come all…..share your talent with the community. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never performed outside your shower or if you are a trained professional.

This inclusive, encouraging environment is the perfect place to practice what you’ve been working on at home. Original material and covers are welcome (songs, poems, readings, comedy).

Not sure if you’re ready for the stage, no problem. Come be part of the audience and applaud others as they take the stage.

The event is open to all ages, therefore we ask that all material be clean and family-friendly.

*Suggested donation $5/attendee to support Symposia (non-profit bookstore)
