Free Yoga Classes at Symposia Bookstore – Oct. 4, 11, 18 at 7 pm.
Have you always shied away from Yoga because you thought you weren’t very flexible?
Symposia is now opening its doors to a totally new environment for yoga practice: small classes, taught in a supportive, non-competitive manner, with lots of individual attention.  Students will be gently guided through basic yoga postures, yogic breathing, and relaxation techniques.

Welcome A LA MOT Workshop!
A la MOT! is a writing workshop for children ages 5-12 who are enthusiastic and passionate about writing and enhancing their own skills.  Let your kids release their creative energy through any of the four courses offered:
Book Writing, Essentials of Grammar, Journalism and Greeting Cards.  Classes meet every Tuesday at 5:30pm at Symposia Bookstore and will be separated by age. *First class is FREE!

Writing Class – “Fiction Potpourri”
Do you have eclectic literary tastes? Interested in writing mysteries, science fiction, humor, romance, horror, thrillers?  Author and teacher John McCaffrey will lead students in a 7-week course that will explore the core components of creating stories in these and other genres.  Each class will include a brief lecture, writing exercises, and group discussion of student work.  Strategies on how to break into the publishing market will also be given.  Students will have the chance to read their work at an end-of-the-term event.
 Thursday evenings, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
