Timothy Keller’s #7 NY Times Best Seller:

“The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism”

• Why does God allow suffering in the world?
• How could a loving God send people to Hell?
• Why isn’t Christianity more inclusive?
• How can one religion be “right” and the others “wrong”?
• Hasn’t Science Disproved Christianity?

These are just a few of the questions and doubts even ardent believers wrestle with today. As the founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, Timothy Keller has compiled a list of the most frequently voiced “doubts” skeptics bring to his church as well as the most important reasons for faith. And in The Reason for God, he addresses each doubt and explains each reason.
Keller uses literature, philosophy, real-life conversations, and reasoning to explain how faith in a Christian God is a soundly rational belief, held by thoughtful people of intellectual integrity with a deep compassion for those who truly want to know the truth.

Join us on four Thursday evenings from April 10th to May 1st, 7:30 to 9:30, at Symposia Bookstore 510 Washington St. Hoboken.

Light refreshments will be served.

This Saturday at 4:30pm we will be meeting at Symposia (community book store, Hoboken NJ) for our next Art Jam Session. Bring a friend and some art supplies if you’d like and join the fun.

Here’s our vision thus far: Artists coming together to create in community. Art Jam sessions will give people a reason, a date, and a venue to create in; encouragement will be provided but feedback from your fellow artists is optional. All art forms are welcome. Eventually we’ll be choosing very specific environments to meet in/at that inspire us like botanical gardens and museums and hiking trails. For this third session we’re going to meet in Symposia again.

Directions: Take the PATH from a subway station near you. The ride takes about 15 minutes. The walk from the train station to the bookstore takes about 10 minutes. It costs about a $1.50 one way. Here’s the address:
